Active Knox is hosting a public discussion at 6 p.m. on Dec. 4 focused on “Getting Back to Basics: Building Walkable Schools.” We’ll hear from school siting and transportation expert Ruth Steiner about the fiscal and health benefits of school walkability, and how to build it into our schools and neighborhoods. We’ll also do a fun, hands-on exercise!
Location is Knoxville’s Public Works Complex, 3131 Morris Ave. Doors open at 5:30, and snacks will be provided.
