Ellen is a professor of architecture at the Georgia Institute of Technology where she coordinates the MS in Urban Design. A leading authority on sustainable suburban redevelopment, she is a co-author of Retrofitting Suburbia: Urban Design Solutions for Redesigning Suburbs. Her research intersects trends in contemporary theory, health, and real estate development, and has been featured in The New York Times, TED, PBS and NPR.
