BREATHE Update

The City of Knoxville was awarded a Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) that covers the Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes nine counties. The City is lead agency for this effort with the TPO providing coordinating support. The next phase of the process is to develop a Comprehensive Climate Action Plan which expands on the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission reduction measures developed previously. The Climate Action Plan will function as a roadmap for the region to guide changes in policy, funding, infrastructure, transportation planning, community action, and more. City of Knoxville staff will give an update on this project.
