FHWA Performance Measures

FHWA instituted a requirement for Performance Measures and formal target-setting with the MAP-21 legislation in 2012. A new 4-year Performance Period (2026 - 2029) has begun for the measures under PM2 (Bridge and Pavement Conditions of the NHS) and PM3 (System Performance and Environment) categories with new targets being required. TPO staff will share results from a poll sent to Technical Committee members to select local target values for each of the required measures under PM3 (System Performance / Freight / CMAQ).
